Masuda Takahisa (NewS) and Nakamaru Yuichi (KAT-TUN) will be in next season of TBS new drama called “RESCUE～特別高度救助隊”
Starting in January of 2009 on Saturday 8 PM.

ＫＡＴ－ＴＵＮの中丸雄一（２５）が来年１月スタートのＴＢＳ系「ＲＥＳＣＵＥ～特別高度救助隊」（土曜後７・５６）でドラマ初主演を飾ることになった。
横浜を舞台に、厳しい訓練を受ける若者たちの青春と挫折、命の尊さを描くオリジナル作品。中丸は特別高度救助隊候補生、北島大地役。ＮＥＷＳの増田貴久（２２）が親友で同じ候補生の手塚豊役で共演する。
横浜市安全管理局の全面協力を得ており、このほど２人は横浜市安全管理局横浜市民防災センターを訪問。７メートルの高さからロープで地上に降りる降下訓練など実際の同救助隊の訓練も体験した。
中丸は「まずは筋力をつけないといけない。隊員の方たちは腹筋を毎日５００回はやっているというので、目標腹筋５００回数を目指して頑張ります」と気合い満点。中丸と初共演となる増田は「（中丸と）助け合って、お互いプラスにしたい」と張り切っている。

1st Tokyo Drama Awards: Pandora, Points and Lines
As part of the currently running Japan International Contents Festival (CoFesta), organizers are holding the 2nd International Drama Festival on October 22-24. This year, the event is introducing the first Tokyo Drama Awards, and the winners were announced during a press conference held on Thursday.
The grand prize was awarded to two dramas, “Pandora” and “Ten to Sen” (”Points and Lines”). “Pandora” aired on WOWOW this spring, starring Hiroshi Mikami as a doctor embroiled in a political war after he discovers a cure for cancer. The two-episode drama “Ten to Sen,” which aired on TV Asahi last November, was based on a Seicho Matsumoto mystery novel and starred Beat Takeshi.
In the kids and youth category, the award went to TV Tokyo’s “Keitai Sousakan 7″ and Fuji TV’s “Last Friends.” NTV’s “Saito-san” won in the family category.
The other winners were “Atsuhime” (jidaigeki category) and “SP” (”non-genre” category). Special awards were given to the art staff of “Ten to Sen” and to actor Tetsuya Takeda and the staff of “3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi Sensei.”
The award presentation ceremony will be held on the 22nd.

Team Batista no Eiko

Nakashima Mika added to “Ryusei no Kizuna” cast

Nakashima Mika has been cast in TBS’s fall drama “Ryusei no Kizuna” which will be premier on October 17, 2008.
She plays a character that was not in the original story, as a mysterious woman who is a regular customer at the restaurant where the oldest brother (Ninomiya) works. Her first appearance will be in the second episode.
Nakashima is also providing a ballad called “ORION,” to be used as an insert song in the drama. “ORION” will be released as a single on November 12.

A drama for next season base on the popular mystery novel of the same title written by popular author Keigo Higashino.
Ninomiya, Nishikido, and Toda play three siblings whose parents were murdered when they were children. After being deceived later on in life, they bonded together as a team of swindlers, stealing money from the rich. One day, the 2 brothers have found a man whom they believe is their parents’ killer, and they start planning to take their revenge.
TBS will air the drama on Friday nights at 10:00pm, starting in October 17, 2008.
